
Fred McGriff was a five-time All-Star first baseman with the Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was a World Series champion with the Braves in 1995 and hit 493 career home runs including 12 with the Cubs in 2001. McGriff wore this size 7 ¼ American Baseball Cap Company (ABC) Chicago Cubs helmet during the 2001 season. This helmet is all blue with a red brim. The Cubs “C” is affixed on the front in a red and white embroidery, while McGriff’s number is affixed to the back of the helmet in individual “29” red and white stickers. The interior of the helmet has a tan leather headband pad and all of the padding is still intact. There is a post 9/11 American Flag decal affixed above the earflap that is on the right side of the helmet. This helmet displays moderate game use and comes with a LOA from MEARS (315088) for the game use.
